GARY LUCAS will debut his new "Fleischerei" project--music from Max Fleischer's delightfully surrealistic 1930's Betty Boop and Popeye cartoons--

at a private party at The Bridge in Bridgehampton Long Island on Sunday Aug. 17th.

His new 6-piece "Fleischerei" group-- featuring Gary on acoustic guitar, music theater star Sarah Stiles ("Into the Woods") on vocals, and Joe Fiedler (Fast 'N' Bulbous) on trombone--

will make their first public performance on Fri. Nov. 15th at BAM.

GARY LUCAS is back in NYC now after headlining the Gouveia Art-Rock Festival in Portugal with legendary Peter Hammill (Van Der Graaf Generator) on Sunday April 27th.
