Bob’s recently released CD Shadow Box has catapulted to No. 6 on JAZZWEEK’s TOP AIRPLAYS CHART and is the WBGO CD Selection of the Month (OCT.2013). Hear why, when Bob and his fellow musicians play CD selections and his signature mix of standards, jazz standards, blues and DeVos' hyper hip originals at at the Jazz Loft @SOPAC on Sun. Nov 17, Trumpets Jazz on Fri. Dec. 27 and the Kitano Jazz Room on Thurs Feb 27.

DeVos propels his Hammond B-3 experience deep into 21st century jazz without losing the soul of the masters he came up with: Richard “Groove” Holmes-Sonny Stitt, Jimmy McGriff-Hank Crawford & Charles Earland. Shadow Box spins dazzling variations on the blues: a New Orleans second line groove on Percy Mayfield’s The River’s Invitation, a Latin take on Wes Montgomery’s Twisted Blues, along with Bob’s blues-in-disguise originals-- Shadow Box, Blue Print and After Burner, Bob’s swinging tribute to “The Mighty Burner.”
