Not one to be caught suffering with the dreamer’s disease, sage advice from Kid Acne comes in the form of ‘YOU GET WHAT YOU’RE GIVEN’ - the second track taken from his forthcoming ‘HAVE A WORD’ LP.

Spectacular Diagnostics simmers down on the boards with brasses exhaling through a hot day in uptown Illinois, while Acne's rhymes provide the missing link between Zinger Tower Burgers, golden era Spice Girls, Magic Eye posters and pineapple fritters.

The accompanying video sees Kid Acne painting at the infamous Park Hill flats in Sheffield, as the ‘HAVE A WORD’ album cover comes to life. Rendered in his distinct typographic style, the mural now sits alongside a dozen others inspired by lyrics and song titles from the album, creating an outdoor gallery of giant slogan-style pieces which occupy abandoned parts of the estate.

Kid Acne sustains his entertainingly innate ability to make the everyday psychedelic, and conversely the far-out comfortably familiar. On fourth studio album ‘HAVE A WORD’, his affinity with cult rap clan New Kingdom continues, with appearances from Nosaj (on first single ‘CREST OF A WAVE’), Sebash, and the group’s first official reunion since '96 on the closing track ‘ANCIENT SEA KINGS’, complete with additional production from long time friend and collaborator, Scotty Hard. UK headliners Juga-Naut and Juice Aleem also get amongst an album full of Eddy Fresh’s signature plain English firepower.
