Born in Africa and raised by parents of Albanian descent, GASHI and his family moved to Brooklyn in 1998. Struggling to learn the English language, GASHI turned to rap music to help ease the adjustment into American Society.

His first single, "Disrespectful," racked up over 60 million streams since its release in early 2017 and has been featured on Spotify's Rap Caviar and Most Necessary playlists. Since then, GASHI has collaborated with some of biggest names in music, including DJ Snake, Travis Scott and Migos. In September 2018 he released "Creep On Me" featuring DJ Snake and French Montana, which has already passed 61 million streams.

In January of 2019, GASHI covered the track "Hurt" by Nine Inch Nails at Spotify's New York Studios. The following month, he made his TV debut on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," performing his single "My Year," with G-Eazy. The quickly rising star was even just featured in The New York Times, speaking on his motivations and hinting at an upcoming debut album on RCA Records/Sony.
