On Sunday Feb. 17th 2013 Gary Lucas signed with UK publisher Jawbone Press for his new book "Touched By Grace: My Time with Jeff Buckley", to be published this fall in the UK and US.

Gary's book was published in Italy only last fall as "Touched by Grace: La Mia Musica con Jeff Buckley" (Arcana):

The book coincides with the worldwide theatrical release of the feature film "Greetings from Tim Buckley", directed by Dan Algrant and starring Penn Badgley (Gossip Girl),

which focuses on Jeff Buckley's early days in NYC.

Gary Lucas is portrayed in the film by Tony Award winner Frank Wood, and contributed his guitar playing throughout.

Distributed by Focus Features and Tribeca World, the film will receive its US premiere at the upcoming Tribeca Film Festival in NYC, after receiving rave reviews at international film festivals:

Later that evening, GARY LUCAS rocked the sold-out Paradiso Amsterdam with a special gala concert "The World of Captain Beefheart",

produced by Co de Kloet.

Joining Gary were soul legend Nona Hendryx, Europe's #1 fusion ensemble The Metropole Orchestra , and Dutch singer Jolene Grunberg, for a historic evening re-imagining the music of American visionary genius Don Van Vliet.
