My friends/Khaverim,
I hope you are safe and healthy. I have begun a program on Facebook live on my page called Radio Free Covid-19 "the Tshudne Shtunde Hour" (Yiddish: Bizarre Hour) where
I tell stories and play music from my ethnographic trips in Eastern
Europe collecting klezmer and Yiddish songs from 1981-through today. I
have done already two this week (they are posted on my Facebook page
Yugoslavia and Hungary) and the next one is March 25th at 1pm California
time and Elizabeth will join me. This week it will be stories about
Czechoslovakia. Elizabeth Schwartz will also sing tunes from Yugoslavia,
Hungary as well plus join me in singing some Khasidic nigunim from my
"yikhes" (pedigree) Stolin, Belarus.
