After the success of Kongo Dia Ntotila’s album ‘360°, released earlier this year on Pussyfoot Records, the band are releasing a special digital remix album titled ‘180° - The Remixes’. The original album, full of dancefloor fillers, joyous Kongo-Jazz sounds and polyrhythmic guitar melodies, now reaches out to club goers and sweatier, dirtier festival spaces, released just in time for summertime shindigs, backyard BBQs and rooftop parties.
The album features remixes from a whole host of Pussyfoot family favourites, along with a bunch of new faces, including Howie B, Sie, Ian Simmonds, Static Cosmonaut and Youth. Kicking off the new regime, Fancy Cat’s ‘Midsummer Madness’ remix of ‘Mutwashi’ takes the Kongo sound straight to the beach with a massive mess of beautiful tropical sound.
