NEW EP. Corey King. A Loveless Sunken Sun EP

Def Pressé’s latest friend, Corey King is releasing an EP titled A Loveless Sunken Sun later this year.  Fertility Filter is the lead single from that project.

“Fertility Filter is about my son. It talks about fading out the peripherals before he was born so I can focus on keeping him safe. The main lyric ‘Fade Out’ is aimed at fading out the distractions we meet a long the way, especially being performing artists in the world today”. – Corey

An Introduction to Corey

Since moving to New York, Corey King has focused on being adaptable in many musical environments without sacrificing his musical integrity. He is highly respected by his peers for his creativity and versatility, which are heavily influenced by numerous styles within the music realm. King is a graduate of the Grammy Award winning High School For The Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA), which has produced an immense amount of talent over the years. After moving to New York, King received a scholarship to study at the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, majoring in Composition and Jazz Performance.

Since Corey has been in New York, he has had the opportunities to perform/record with notable artists such as Iggy Pop, Bonobo, Esperanza Spalding, Dr. Lonnie Smith,Glen Hansard, Mos Def, Gil-Scott Heron, D.J. Premiere, ATrak, Doc Daneeka, Nick Hook, José James, Bilal, Mary J. Blige, Hercules and Love Affair, Mark Ronson, Maria Daulne (Zap Mama), Lauryn Hill.
