In 1997, IMBRUGLIA exploded onto the scene with her debut single "Torn" produced by former Cure member Phil Thornalley. The single spent a total of 14 weeks at number one, sold over a million copies, and broke the record for most airplay in U.K. history. Her debut album, Left of the Middle, featuring "Torn"and her second single, "Smoke," would go on to sell an unprecedented 7+ Million copies, the highest sales figure for the debut of an Australian born female solo Artist.
Her fame throughout Europe has continued to grow with the release of her many critically acclaimed albums featured such singles as "That Day" and "Shiver," the latter of which was nominated for the Ivor Novello Award in the PRS most-performed work category in 2006.
Most recently, IMBRUGLIA returned with the highly anticipated release of her fourth studio album,Male. The album is a unique project made up entirely of songs originally made famous by world-class male musicians.
