AUGUST ALSINA

The R&B singer, born and bred in New Orleans, has been consistently relevant in the music scene after originally signing with Def Jam Records at the start of his career. In 2013, ALSINA released "I Luv This Shit," which peaked at No. 13 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles charts and crossed into the Hot 100, where it reached No. 48. AUGUST's first proper debut album, Testimony (2014), was a massive success and featured many established rappers like Rick Ross, Pusha T, and Fabolous. That same year, AUGUST ALSINA won Best New Artist at the BET Awards, paving the way to future triumph in the R&B world.

Soon, AUGUST's fame began to grow rapidly, he released his next studio record, This Thing Called Life (2015), which debuted at No.14 on the Billboard Charts and gave rise to the hit single "Why I Do It" (Feat. Lil Wayne). Over the next year, AUGUST ALSINA stayed largely quiet; however, he did appear as a feature on DJ Khaled's "Do You Mind" single that recently went platinum. In 2017, he reemerged with "Drugs," the lead single off his third full-length album of the same name.

Currently on a 24-show tour with special guests Rotimi and Tone Stith, AUGUST ALSINA has been pushing out new songs with featured singles "Lonely" and "Wait" racking up 9 million views on YouTube. With lifetime of hardships that were overcome, this artist is living proof that your past does not dictate your future, AUGUST is now gearing up to release his third album with Def Jam Records to be released in late 2017.
