Somehow Jo! was formed in the spring of 2009 by Christian and Sakari. When first shows started to come the band needed a name. They had a few ideas for the name, but none of them fit these crazy songs they played. During rehearsals someone shouted: "let’s play somehow already!". Already translating to ’’jo’’ in Finnish. Finally the band had a name!

The final lineup came together when Lassi and Eero joined the band in the summer of 2013 and the writing for the first album (Satans Of Swing) started.

The band wanted to ”keep it real” soudwise with the first album so they kept it as organic as possible. It was also clear from the start that no specific genre or style of music would determine them or affect on their writing.

After the album was done the boys of Jo! started to tour in Finland and came together as a group even more on the road. The bands higly energetic live performance got them more recognition and gave them a reputation as a feel good live. After several sold-out concerts the band is currently working on new material and doing kick ass shows. So stay tuned!  

Go with the Jo was the first song that we written by all four of us (previous songs were made by Christian). We were hanging out in the rehearsal place drinking some beer and started jamming just for fun and the skeleton of the song came together by itself. I (Christian) knew right away that the lyrics needed to reflect what we are as a band and it had to have that fun aspect to it.
