Mindcage Escape from Bucharest, Romania play modern progressive power metal, with influences ranging from the classic heavy metal and hard rock of Rush, Manowar, Blind Guardian and Toto to contemporaries such as Rise Against, Between The Buried And Me and Textures.
Their dense complexity and turn-on-a-dime rhythm changes are never allowed to get in the way of good songwriting, catchy melodies, fist-pumping riffs and anthemic choruses. If we had to choose one adjective to describe their music, it would be "crunchy" -make of that what you will!
As their name implies, Mindcage Escape refuse to be pigeonholed and sing of freedom, independence and self-determination with a fluidity and soulfulness rarely found within any of metal's many subgenres.
Anglo-Saxon Booking Agency discovered this most intriguing of bands at Global Battle Of Bands (Romania)'s recent semi-final at Artmania Festival in Sibiu and are pleased to now be working with them to bring them to a wider audience.
Mindcage Escape are currently working on their first film and will be playing two important shows next month: a showcase at Club A in Bucharest on Friday 2nd September and a set at "Ziua Chitarelor 4" in Constanta the following day.
