Performing in front of an audience of 14 million as one half of Jonathan & Charlotte, probably the most successful duo to ever come from a British talent show; they took the show by storm, and finished as Runners-Up respectively; winning over the nation’s hearts at the same time.
In September 2012, the release of Jonathan & Charlotte's Debut album Together on Simon Cowell's label Syco, landed the #5 spot in the UK Album Charts, topped the Amazon charts and has since been certified GOLD. If that wasn’t enough, ‘Together’ took the position of the highest ever entry by a classical album into the main album charts.
The album was later released in the USA and Canada in October 2012, also making an impact into their Classical Charts, going in at #3.
Following on from their astonishing album achievements the ‘Jonathan & Charlotte’ documentary launched on ITV1 in November 2012, attracting an incredible 4.5 million viewers. Showcasing to fans their success story since Britains Got Talent. The revealing documentary gave viewers an unique insight into 'Jonathan & Charlotte' as they travelled across Europe to meet and perform with some of the greats including the late Pavarotti's singing teacher and renowned Tenor Rolando Villazon.
Their 2013 UK tour was a sell-out and their previous and last album together 'Perhaps Love' reached #5 in the UK album charts and also certified GOLD.
Following on from 2 successful years together, in early 2014 'Jonathan & Charlotte', while in discussions for a third album, made the decision to split. Their choice was amicable but both wanted to go off and explore different things in their careers.
Each was offered the option to continue recording for Sony as a solo artist, and each accepted.
Jaconelli's debut solo album, SOLITAIRE was released in 2014. On it, she finally got to pursue her first love in earnest, with her album including songs from her favourite musicals such as Les Mis & My Fair Lady too great classical Arias such as Pie Jesu & Lascia Chio Pianga.
Growing up in an ordinary working class family, Charlotte was clear that she wanted to be a performer even as a four-year-old when she started weekend stage school, the very same school where she eventually started teaching a few years later.
When she decided she wanted to go to a performing arts school full time from the age of 16 (the same school that Julie Andrews trained), not only did she have to leave the house at , getting back past, she also had to work eight-hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays in a high-street clothes shop to pay for her fares.
However it was all worth it, Having sold hundreds of thousands of albums together with Jonathan, she’s now embarking on the solo career of her dreams. She knows it’s going to be hard, but she’s never been afraid of that: “I’m very driven when I get my head set on something,” she says; and who can forget how she took the reins when she stepped out on the Britain’s Got Talent stage with Jonathan two years ago?
During 2014 after the release of her Debut album, Charlotte has again toured the nation, and has also been featured on the The Band of Her Majesty's Royal Marines album 'Ocean Wave' recording the famous song 'Danny Boy'.
After travelling the world, achieving two Gold albums before she was even 18, releasing her Debut Solo album, performing for Royalty, Celebrities and the Nation, 19 year old Charlotte's raw talent coupled with her immense like-ability is set to escalate the singing sensations popularity to new heights in 2015.
