JILL SCOTT

We are proud to announce that JILL SCOTT will be embarking on a unique European tour this October/November.   

JILL SCOTT is an award-winning singer-songwriter, New York Times Best Selling poet, critically acclaimed actress, philanthropist and designer.When JILL released her much anticipated debut record, "Who is Jill Scott?," the album went platinum and earned her several Grammy nominations including Best New Artist.  She most recently released her 5th studio album "Woman" which became her second consecutive album to debut #1 on the music charts and whose powerful single, "Can't Wait," has just earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Traditional R&B Performance. 

 

As an actress, JILL is most known for her starring role in the BBC/HBO, Peabody Award winning mini-series, "THE NO. 1 LADIES DETECTIVE," directed by the late Oscar Award winning director, Anthony Minghella.  She can also be seen in the Tyler Perry film series WHY DID I GET MARRIED? (1 and 2), BAGGAGE CLAIM, STEEL MAGNOLIAS and many others.

 

During this tour, JILL will be collaborating with her longtime musical partner and friend, the accomplished pianist Robert Glasper, whom she has worked with many times over the years, including on the standout single "Calls" off his Blue Note album "Black Radio 2."  Glasper and members of his group, the Robert Glasper Experiment, will be working with JILL to deliver a one of a kind live experience that will capture the imagination of fans and tastemakers alike.
