Gary Lucas is Artist in Residence at Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Hall

On Thurs. Nov 26 through Sun. Nov. 29th, GARY LUCAS has been invited as  ARTIST IN RESIDENCE at the newly-renovated Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Hall in England,

 

where he will perform 6 different solo projects over 4 days and nights. 

 

Gary's last appearance two years ago at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall with his Captain Beefheart Symposium quickly sold out both nights.

 

For this occasion, Gary will premiere his new Jeff Buckley Symposium on Thurs. Nov. 26th at 8pm to kick off his engagement, with guest vocalist Jay Mathy.

On Fri. Nov. 27th, Lucas performs his original live solo score accompanying James Whale's "Frankenstein" (1931),

 

originally commissioned by the United Palace Theatre in Harlem's  chief programmer Mike Fitelson.

Gary will present two Masterclasses on Sat. and Sun. afternoons Nov. 28th and 29th at 2pm.

Prior to his Liverpool engagement, Gary tours Italy, his third appearance there this year.

 

Dates include solo shows in Salerno, Livorno, Bologna and Venezia, with special guest vocalists Alessio Franchini and Francesco Di Bella of the band 24 Grana.
